(More customer reviews)We have a well over a pasture and it gets contaminated. We discovered that some of our intestinal problems were related to Giardia and Chryptosporidia. Boiling and distilling water took a lot of time and energy - very costly. I didn't like the idea of whole house UV because you have to leave it on all the time. We don't have room for the chlorine drip tank system. This small, inexpensive, easy to install system in combination with some poly carb tanks has given us biologically safe water to drink without having to haul it from the store. Also store bought water come in plastic that has to be recycled and can be contaminated with bisphenol-a. We turn this system on only once or twice a week to fill up the drinking water containers. I learned that turning on/off the bulbs substracts 6hrs. from the bulb life. But if you only turn it on once of twice a week, you still extend the bulb life. This product has been a great solution for us.
